History of The 5th IEIM 2024
The IEIM, The 5th International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Industrial Management,
was held in Nice, France during January 10-12, 2024. More than 90 experts from about 12 countries joint and shared the latest research on the hybrid conference. The sincere appreciation extends to all the individuals who have contributed to
IEIM in various ways. Special thanks are extended to our colleagues in the program committee for their thorough review of all the submissions, which is vital to the success of the conference, and also to the members in the organizing committee who had devoted their time and efforts in planning, promoting, organizing and helping the conference. After the sign in, the conference started at 9 am on January 10. Prof. Roel Leus gave us opening remarks, and Prof. Dimitri Lefebvre gave us welcome address. Prof. Roberto Montemanni from University of Modena and Reggio Emilia host the morning session.
This conference program is highlighted by two plenary speakers below:
Prof. Luiz Moutinho from University of Suffolk, The Marketing School and University of South Pacific delivered speech Future Days of Unfolding Technologies; Prof. Okyay Kaynak, Bogazici from University and Turkish Academy of Sciences delivered speech Digital Twins in Intelligent Manufacturing and Industrial Metaverse;
Then two keynote speakers delivered research about Advancing Multiagent Systems: High-Level Path Planning with Discrete Event Systems and Assembly Systems in the Human-Centric Industry 5.0 Paradigm: an Integrated Design Procedure from Logistics to Workstation. They are Assoc. Prof. Cristian Mahulea, University of Zaragoza, and Assoc. Prof. Maurizio Faccio, University of Padua.
There were 5 oral sessions and one poster session of the conferences, the topics including machine learning and industrial engineering with applications, automation control and production process optimization in industrial systems, product development and enterprise innovation management, control models and processing technologies in industrial production systems, machine learning models, data analysis, and pricing strategies in industrial management systems, and image-based intelligent systems design and development.
